The size of the program is significantly smaller than Bridge, it runs faster and takes less RAM.

Therefore, the database can be accessed and about the photos, which are now in the archive on DVD.

It stores information about keywords, previews and metadata not in each graphic file, but in a centralized database (the SQLite engine). Lightroom combines photos into “collections” – virtual gatherings of files that can quickly search. Lightroom 6.14 has 'embedded' the ACR engine v10.1ħ) considering all the above- you need only to update Lightroom (6.2 or above) and never need to convert Sony files to DNG, as Lightroom can 'Render' the Sony raw file for edit-in Photoshop.Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC review Just select the "Render with Lightroom" when you send the file from Lr to Ps. (the Camera Raw processing software is embedded within the Lightroom program)ģ) The version of Camera Raw should have no effect on your ability to upgrade Lightroom.Ĥ) you should still be able to Upgrade Lightroom to v6.14 Download Photoshop Lightroomĥ) Your camera Sony A7SII requires Lightroom v6.2 as a minimum to read your Sony raw files.Ħ) Your camera requires ACR 9.2 to open the raw files directly in PhotoshopCS6 (which you cannot do), BUT you can use Lightroom as the 'ACR' raw converter to use "Edit-In" Photoshop. Trying to upgrade ACR (beyond 9.1.1) is pointless for you.

This version of Ps can only use ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) up to ACR Version 9.1.1Ģ) Lightroom does not use Adobe Camera Raw. I would just like to help you understand a few facts (as I understand them)-ġ) You use Photoshop CS6 (and Bridge CS6). My PS still won't update to deal with my RAW files but I rarely use PS and I can always convert a RAW file to DNG. In Cleaner Tool, PS CS6 was not listed, just "Photoshop Driver." I didn't know what that was so I didn't touch it or uninstall Photoshop CS6. I had been told by an Adobe support person that some later updates were buggy so I didn't want to go any higher after so many hours of trying to fix the problems. I installed Camera RAW 9 and maybe that did the trick because I was able to update to LR 6.2 after that. I installed Camera RAW 10 but that didn't change anything. I reinstalled the programs, including Bridge CC 2018 (once I verified that no subscription was required). I tried to uninstall old PSE programs but that failed. I uninstalled LR 6, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camera RAW and Bridge CS6. I use Premiere Pro CC for my work and didn't want to risk anything for my many projects. I was hesitant to use the Cleaner Tool to uninstall all of my Adobe programs. I finally was able to update my LR 6.0 to a higher version so that I could open my RAW files.
